A GLIMPSE OF WHAT’S Emerging…
In honor of Pollinated Prayers syncing up with Venus stationing direct this weekend, here’s a glimpse of a forthcoming sacred art form, part of an emerging cross-cultural exploration of the Divine Feminine in her many glorious expressions.
This spring, having returned to the land of Aquinnah where the sacred journal paper emerged, a Venusian inspiration was sparked through tracing the Venus Rose on a South-facing window pane on the day that Venus and the Sun came together.
Shortly afterwards, as Venus re-emerged from the underworld of her retrograde cycle and began her ascent as Morning Star, an Inanna art form blossomed forth from the center of the five petaled rose, with the Burney Relief Sculpture, dated between 1800 and 1750 BCE, as the pathway in.
As the Goddess of Love, Inanna’s journey is one of the first poems ever recorded in human history, written on clay tablets over 4,000 years ago. With Lions and Owls featured in her iconography, the story of Inanna’s descent mirrors the psychospiritual descent and ascent of the psyche through the nervous system/7 chakra system, offering practical and powerful pathways for integrative healing, empowerment, and navigating times of transformation from a place of wholeness, sovereignty, and lion-hearted love.
A fantastic way to begin learning about Inanna and her teachings is through The Way of Inanna: A Heroine’s Guide to Living Unapologetically by Seana Zelazo, LISCW, whose authorship, podcast conversations, and inspirational Soul guidance sessions have been helping inspire the new work emerging!
…more to be revealed! 🌹

My Artist’s Way Journey
When I first discovered this book 11 years ago, it helped me transform my timidness into courage, hesitancy into curiosity, and self-doubt into “…but if this turns out amazing?”
Newly divorced and living on my own for the first time, the exercises in the book helped inspire me to begin exploring the edges of my comfort zone and get to know the new emerging me. It planted so many seeds of courageous, creative unfoldment in the decade that followed.
Here are a few examples from my own life’s emergence to hopefully get you inspired about YOUR courageous, creative unfoldment:
I met my stagefright head-on by learning bass guitar and ended up playing in a band, blessed with the amazing experience of performing live on stages with incredible bandmates.
I looked my fear of heights in the eye and learned rock climbing, and later led clinics to get other courageous women started on the rock wall, on the hiking trails, and even on slacklines in downtown Providence!
More than anything, it helped me get over my fear of looking like an idioT and have a lot more fun!
(…The wild thing is, I did one of the unblocking exercises in the book just a few months earlier, and later expanded on it and wove in the wisdom of a teaching from Caroline Myss.
i have been flowing creatively ever since, and i’m here to guide you into your own flow, as well- because there’s nothing i love more than flowing together!)
Granted, there are seasons and cycles of creativity and rhythms of nature we can attune to in presence.
But whatever season you find yourself in, if a curiosity is dancing in you as you’re reading these words or if you’re feeling a full body YES, I’d love nothing more than to walk alongside you and other curious, courageous Souls this Spring as we creatively E M E R G E!
Hundreds of thousands of people have been transformed and inspired through Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way for the last 33 years.
I am one of them.
This book first taught me about the word synchronicity as a Jungian term for describing events that coincide in time and “appear meaningfully related, yet lack a discoverable causal connection” according to Wikipedia.
The premise of the book laid the groundwork for my daily writing practice that began in 2014: the very fibers that hold these precious Bee paintings!!!
The synchronicity of discovering a quote from Joseph Campbell’s printed in the margin of her book inspired the emergence of 44 Ancestral mandala paintings that led me to connecting with Emily and Dan of Seeing With Your Heart the following year.
…if what you’re reading has you intrigued, here’s more:
One gorgeous spring day, I found myself emboldened with a curiosity to follow the sound of a drum into the heart of downtown Providence and join in the fun, despite the intense anxiety, self-consciousness, and feeling like I had absolutely NO rhythm whatsoever.
(I felt the same way when I was learning bass and going up on stages, BTW, but it eased up with practice and experience - and don’t get me wrong, I still feel like a Fool QUITE often :) -this book just really helped me not let that feeling STOP me from STEPPING FULLY into Life (an amazing book by Lynn Goodwin by the way. I had the honor of illustrating the cover with a painting of the Franconia Ridge Trail in the White Mountains, the very first mountain I ascended in September 2014, where one summit peak turned into three! Buy Lynn’s book here!)
That event, that moment of listening and allowing, led to the synchronicity of a 10 day-trekking adventure in Mount Everest in Nepal unfolding with Driftwood Adventure Treks, a breathtakingly inspiring experience that later wove into a series of live painting collaborations with the Aurora Collaborative chamber music ensemble.
I could go on and ON!!! And it brings me so much joy to share about the wonder! But this isn’t just me talking to you about my life. This is me sharing experiences that are mirroring a Soul essence that’s WITHIN YOU.
This is about YOU, and your creative unfoldment.
